Journal entry: 11 04

I decided to go back through a few of the lab assignments, since the first time I did them it was a struggle between me, the BX24 and the PC. I bought a new BX and sat down to go through the labs. I realized I was much more relaxed then the first time around and things seemed to work just fine. Maybe the BX is like a dog, it can sense when the person interacting with it is a bit nervous.
I started out doing the series of LED lab. It worked like a charm. I found that it was hard to light the 3rd one going from pin to pin, but that if I said there was 1 more pin in the group then it worked fine, eg: 3 lights, in pins 13-15, but in the code it needed to be 13-16. I then tried to light up 3 LEDs using an if then statement. I could not seem to get it. I got 2 to light up but the 3rd would be dim.
tort the image. I don't have the code yet, I forgot to make a word doc of it.

OpAmp: 11-05

I spent the better part of the day trying to figure out the OpAmp wiring sequence. To no avail. I was able to get the difference between the 2 power sources but not the additive of the 2. I used 2 power sources and various combinations of Vin andVout. It appears I was going about it a bit wrong. I needed 2 9v batteries as V sources for the Amp, then 2 other power sources to be added together. I was not prepared for this set up and had to give up at that point.

this week I also did the serail cable assignment. I set it and Mike so that when Mike came by we could get it done easily. I twas not that hard since others had already ironed out the kinks of tom's examples. It worked like a charm, I just had solder the correc theaders on a serial connector.
