Journal entry: Week 1 Glass installation I: as people walk through a dark room, lights flash. A silhouette of the person is imprinted (captured) on the glass, placed throughout the room. The images are "fixed", so as others walk by their movements are recorded on the glass as well. The previous images are not fully covered over, which creates a collage and layered affect as well as a recording how the viewers walked through the space and their distance from the glass "windows". |
| Glass Installation II: Windows: Set up throughout a room, various types of windows, old, new, one paned and many paned. Projected onto the windows are video loops or still images. The projects are /could be controlled by computers so that they change or interact with viewers as they walk through the room. |
| Windows
Installation I: windows are said to be the eyes of the house. What if the widows
were not just views of the outside world but actually views of the inside
of the house. Different windows could reflect visions of other rooms in
the house or reflect the mood of a house. |
| Windows
Installation II: hanging in room a multi-paned window, as viewer walks up
to it, their images appear on the panes. The interesting part is that their
image is split up amongst the panes and switched around, so maybe their
feet are not at the bottom most pane and their head is in a side pane. As
different people set in front the images randomly cut the person up and
distribute the images on the window. |
